From April 17 to 23, 2023, Yang Xiaofeng from Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Wang Yue and Wang Yanan from Department of Endocrinology were invited to attend academic exchange meeting with Professor Ye Kai's team at Leiden University in the Netherlands, aiming to establish cooperative relationship among teachers between bilateral universities. Through this visit, bilateral sides have established definite cooperative relationship in scientific research, and utilized this as a platform to jointly cultivate doctoral students. Meantime, the academic delegation team delivered discussion with the leaders of Faculty of Science of Leiden University and Leiden University Medical Center and reached a cooperation mechanism to optimize dual doctoral degree program, which will change from "co-cultivating graduate students" to "cultivating graduate students under intimate cooperation mechanism between Chinese and Dutch tutors", and evolve from unilaterally sending doctoral students from Xi'an Jiaotong University to the Netherlands into the dual-track model of "sending doctoral students to the Netherlands + introducing Dutch talents into China".
