On the afternoon of June 15, 2022, International Exchange Office of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) delivered an online connection with Professor Wang Wenru from National University of Singapore, launching the 2nd lecture entitled China • Singapore Dialogue-Special session for nursing research in a series of activities of IN TALK.
Wang Wenru, Fellow of American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), was invited to deliver a lecture entitled Evidence-based application of mobile and telemedicine in management of diabetes patients. Vice President Liu Qingguang, Assistant-to-President She Junjun, Xin Xia, Director of Nursing Department, Li Jieqiong and Li Qiaoling, Deputy Directors of Nursing Department, Ren Hui, Deputy Director of International Exchange Office, and representatives of Chief Head Nurses and Head Nurses attended the event, which was chaired by Ren Hui.
Liu Qingguang stressed that Professor Wang Wenru has created significant achievements in nursing research. He appreciated Professor Wang Wenru for sharing her valuable experience to XJTU, hoping that bilateral sides can establish intimate communication and deliver in-depth international cooperation via the construction platform of International Exchange Center.
Professor Wang Wenru deliver a lecture entitled "Evidence-based application of mobile and telemedicine in management of diabetes patients", sharing the experience of remote nursing management surrounding the background, clinical application, development status, problems and challenges of telemedicine application.
This lecture makes all participants more deeply and thoroughly understand the application of telemedicine, which also plays an important guiding role in the health management model of chronic disease patients in hospitals at this stage, hoping that bilateral sides will take this exchange as a starting point to strengthen in-depth exchanges and cooperation in scientific research and talent training in the future.
