The 1st Lemology & Pediatrics Knowledge Competition for international students successfully concludes

On the afternoon of May 5, the 1 st Lemology & Pediatrics Knowledge Competition for International Students was jointly held by School of International Education of Xi 'an Jiaotong University and the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University. Outstanding international students from different countries and regions have brought us a splendid cultural feast. The team composed of Helder Jorge, Gateau and Juan Xiu won the champion in the competition.

With the tremendous support of Xi’an Jiaotong University Health Science Center, Teaching Department, Department of Infectious Disease and Department of Pediatrics of our hospital, the competition was organized in different patterns to comprehensively assess the medical knowledge of the international students. Fifteen international students were assigned into five teams. All participants were required to take part in different types of tests, such as Compulsory Question, Quick Response, and Charade.

After each stage of competition, a talent show was performed. In the first stage, the audience scrambled to answer the questions, and the first who gave the right answer was rewarded with an exquisite gift. During the second stage, Lin Yujin and Bai Xiaoyun staged a magnificent Thai dance. In the third stage, Li Xiaolong and teammates mocked strict and standard consultation show in Department of Infectious Disease. These wonderful shows embody their passion and love for medical knowledge and cherish the friendship between China and foreign countries.

Medical knowledge is passed down from generation to generation, and the young medical students are struggling for progress in May. This competition enables more Chinese and international students to learn from each other and achieve personal growth in a happy atmosphere. It not only promotes cultural exchange and integration between China and foreign countries, but also consolidates the level of theoretical knowledge, creating a better learning and exchange platform for international students.
