The 7th lecture of IN TALK: China and Japan join hands to discuss the development of preventive medicine

On the afternoon of August 27, 2022, the 7th lecture of IN TALK of "National Medical Center" international dialogue was successfully held. Iizuka Yoko, Director of Center for International Preventive Medicine of the University of Tokyo Hospital, Ma Le, Vice President of School of Public Health of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and Distinguished Professor of Health Management Center of our hospital, Ma Mao, Director of Health Management Center of our hospital, and other related experts were invited to exchange ideas for the construction of health management discipline via video connection. The online activity was chaired by Ren Hui, Deputy Director of International Exchange Office.

First, Ren Hui briefly introduced the basic situation of our hospital, hoping that through this activity, bilateral sides can deliver communication regarding the health management of geriatric and chronic diseases. Wang Jun, Deputy Director of Health Management Center, introduced the profile of participants from bilateral sides, hoping that two sides can deliver in-depth communication on specific issues.

During the sharing session, Director Iizuka Yoko introduced the establishment background, operation and management mode, information construction, physical examination process and environment, post-examination treatment and international layout of the center for International Preventive Medicine of the University of Tokyo Hospital.

Subsequently, Director Ma Mao shared the basic situation of the department, the construction of talent team, the improvement of scientific research capability, and the establishment of information platform of our hospital. At present, Health Management Center of our hospital has set up five characteristic sub-specialties according to clinical requirement, and established MDT procedures for chronic disease management. In the future, relevant disciplines will further cooperate with the Lifecycle Health Research Institute to accelerate the construction and development process, build a lifecycle health management system for patients, and lead the development of relevant disciplines in northwest region.

During the discussion session, bilateral sides conducted in-depth discussion on discipline construction, medical service, talent training and international cooperation and exchanges.
