The 34th batch of medical team of National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China to go to Sudan, which was composed of 41 staff from four cities and regions of Xi'an, Xianyang, Baoji and Weinan, was successfully organized at the end of March led by the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University. This batch of medical team involved physicians, surgeons, and specialists from gynecology department, pediatric department, Chinese medicine and other related auxiliary departments.
Our hospital has transferred 8 personnel for this batch of medical team. Guo Yong, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department, takes up the full-time team leader. The other members are Li Xiaojun (the Second Section of Thoracic Surgery Department), Li Xiaoquan (Neonatology Department), Guo Chenguang (Medical Imaging Department), and Cai Yun, Hou Haitao and Cui Yanchao (Rehabilitation Department), and Wang Wei (State-owned Assets Management Office).
This batch of the medical team gathered on April 1 to start the half-year pre-employment off-job training at Xi’an International Studies University. Under the management of full-time counselors, the trainees study English, Arabic, policies and regulations, and other related contents to prepare for the foreign medical aids to Sudan. Everyone is enthusiastic and active in learning Arabic. It is believed that after six months of study, the trainees will be able to master the relevant knowledge, successfully accomplish their mission and go to the Sudan.
