The 105th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) was successfully launched in Chicago on December 1, 2019, local time. Approximately 50,000 experts, scholars and business representatives in the field of radiology from over 130 countries attended the meeting to exchange, explore and showcase the latest cutting-edge technologies and research outcomes. The theme of RSNA 2019 Annual Meeting is ‘See Possibilities Together’.
Three members from Department of Radiology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), Physician Zhao Huifang, Technician Fan Ganglian and Li Xinyu attended the meeting. Department of Radiology contributed 10 articles including 7 oral presentations and 3 posters.
The main research directions are as follows: Lower risk of hearing loss without sacrificing image quality in fetal MR imaging: a feasibility study using acoustic reduction technique; Radiation dose and contrast dose reduction in combined coronary CT angiography and iliac artery CT Angiography with personalized scan protocol for preoperative assessment of renal transplant patients; Reducing the incidence of venous air embolism in contrast-enhanced CT angiography using preflushing of the power injector; How to Use Lead Apron to Reduce Excess Radiation Dose Caused by Over-Scan in Computed Tomography Using 40mm Collimation: an Anthropomorphic Phantom Study; Spectral CT imaging for the assessment of non-calcified plaque compositions in lower extremity atherosclerosis; Improving diagnostic accuracy for inferior genicular arteries in lower extremity with dual-energy spectral CT imaging; Impacts of 3.0 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging Noise on Hearing Function in Children with Hearing Protection; Sequence design of Correction of Magnetic Resonance Metal Artifacts and A Survey of CT Iterative Reconstruction(IR) Techniques, etc.
