The 24th Annual Congress of Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR), jointly organized by Vietnam Respirology Society (VNRS) and APSR, was held in Hanoi, Vietnamfrom November 14 to 17, 2019. The team led by Chen Mingwei from Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) attended the congress.
Currently, APSR has become one of the most extensive and influential professional societies in the respiratory field after ATS and ERS. Professor Chen Mingwei, associate research fellow Ren Hui and Dr. Bu Xiang attended the congress, and the abstracts were included in the conference proceedings. Dr. Bu Xiang delivered an oral presentation in the lung cancer seminar and made face-to-face academic exchanges with international experts and young scholars. The study focuses upon the risk of the second primary tumor in pulmonary neuroendocrine tumors, which is also one of the hot issues in clinical research. After the meeting, the team members delivered academic exchange and discussions with other experts and scholars.
