From October 27 to 31, the 105th American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress (ACSCC) was held at Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, U.S. Yan Xiaopeng, Associate Research Fellow from Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, Dr. Wang Shanpei and Dr. Li Qingshan from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XITU) attended the annual congress. More than 14,000 experts, scholars and manufacturers from over 100 countries attended the meeting.
The participants from our hospital delivered 4 conference speeches and 2 poster presentations to illustrate the research results of magnetic surgery and irreversible electroporation tumor ablation technology, among which the abstract on the theme of magnet-assisted rapid liver transplantation was selected as the TOP5%.
At the General Surgerytopic session, Dr. Wang Shanpei made a speech entitled ‘Fast Magnetic Reconstruction of Vascular for Rapid Liver Transplantation’, illustrating the groundbreaking progress on the application of magnetic anastomosis technology in fast vascular reconstruction for rapid liver transplantation.
During the Scientific Forum, Associate Research Fellow Yan Xiaopeng delivered a lecture entitled "A Novel Magnetic Compression Technique for Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass in Rats". At the same time, he also introduced the achievements of XJTU in the field of magnetic surgical technology, reported the outcomes of the 2nd International Conference of Magnetic Surgery (ICMS-2019), and warmly invited all experts to attend the 3rd ICMS.
On the afternoon of October 29, Li Qingshan delivered poster presentation entitled ‘Assessment of Acute and Chronic Effects of Irreversible Electroporation on Normal Common Bile Ducts in a Rabbit Model’.
