Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery achieves new success at 50th annual meeting of American Pancreatic Association

The annual meeting in conjunction with the 50th anniversary meeting jointly organized by American Pancreatic Association (APA) and Japan Pancreas Society (JPS) was held in Maui Island from November 6 to 9. Wu Zheng, Director Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery and Professor Ma Qingyong led a team to attend the annual meeting for academic exchange.

More than 900 pancreatic surgeons, endoscopists, pathologists, radiologists, oncologists and basic researchers gathered at the annual meeting and discussed the latest progress in basic and clinical research on acute and chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic tumors.

At the end of October, Wu Zheng and his team members were invited to deliver an oral presentation entitled ‘Delayed PPH treating with covered stent after RPD’ at World Robot Conference held in Duke University. During annual meeting of APA, Director Wu Zheng and Professor Ma Qingyong led the team to deliver more than 10 abstracts for academic exchange, covering the incidence, progress and drug resistance of pancreatic cancer. All these abstracts have been published inPancreas. At the same time, Wang Zheng, Deputy Chief Physician from Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery wonTravel Award for Young Investigator.
