From May 11 to 16, the 27th Annual Meeting of International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine was grandly held in Montreal Convention Center, Canada. Six lectures and speeches and 19 electronic poster presentations were selected from Department of Medical Imaging of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University. Physician Li Chenxia and Technician Cao Le were invited to attend the conference and deliver lectures.
Physician Li Chenxia delivered a lecture entitled "Multimodal MRI combined with liver volume for quantitative assessment of liver function in patients with cirrhosis" and Technician Cao Le made a lecture themed "Lower risk of hearing loss without sacrificing image quality in fetal MR imaging: a feasibility study using acoustic reduction technique”. Dr. Wang Miaomiao delivered a speech entitled "Cortical thickness is a sensitive biomarker for characterizing the gray matter abnormities in neonates with mild white matter injury". Dr. Liu Congcong and Martha, a graduate student, contributed electronic poster presentations, illustrating and exchanging the latest research progresses on liver function evaluation by multimodal magnetic resonance, fetal magnetic resonance examination and neonatal white matter injury evaluation by magnetic resonance.
