Recently, Yang Lin, Associate Professor from Department of Vascular Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi' an Jiaotong University, at the invitation of Dr. Dierk Scheiner, Director of Department of Vascular Intervention of University of Leipzig in Germany, attended the LINC-Asia Pacific 2019 held in Hong Kong, China. As an Invited Faculty, Dr. Yang delivered a keynote speech entitled Endovascular therapies of carotid artery stenting. During the keynote speech, he reviewed the clinical research achievements by selecting surgical cases conducted in Department of Vascular Surgery of our hospital, highlighting the clinical research progress made by the team to the experts and peers at home and abroad. Associate Professor Yang also reported the current situation of minimally invasive intervention for stroke patients caused by carotid artery stenosis, introduced the latest achievements made by Department of Vascular Surgery in minimally invasive stenting therapy for carotid artery stenosis and chose specific surgical cases in our hospital to illustrate how to perform rational treatment in stroke patients induced by carotid artery stenosis, which captivated widespread attention from the colleagues around the globe. Professor Yang is also the first vascular surgeon as an Invited Faculty who delivered a keynote speech at an international high-level vascular surgery and intervention conference since the establishment of vascular surgery discipline in Shaanxi Province for over 20 years. He is also the only vascular surgeon from Northwest China attending this conference.

LINC conference is a global academic conference focusing on peripheral vascular intervention and surgical treatment, which is jointly organized by Department of Interventional Angiology of University of Leipzig in Germany, the world's largest center for interventional diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases, along with top vascular centers from five continents. It is held in five continents around the globe on a regular basis, which provides an opportunity for academic exchange on peripheral vascular intervention and surgical treatment. Professor Yang was invited as an Invited Faculty to deliver a keynote speech, which signifies the diagnostic and therapeutic levels in Department of Vascular Surgery of our hospital have been geared to international standards.
