From September 20 to 23, the 27th Science Conference of International Society of Hypertension (ISH) known as the “Olympic Games”, enjoying the highest level in the international hypertension field and sponsored by the ISH and co-sponsored by the Chinese Hypertension League (CHL), was held in Beijing International Convention Center. This conference attracted 2,818 top international experts and industry elites from 80 countries, where they made in-depth discussions and exchanges on the development status, related basic and clinical research progress, disease prevention and management schemes and existing problems in the field of hypertension.
Mou Jianjun, Director of the Department of Cardiology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, together with young doctors and doctoral candidates of the hospital, participated in this conference. During the conference, physicians form the Department of Cardiology delivered 9 oral reports and 15 poster communications, demonstrating the advanced medical technology and excellent scientific research ability of the hypertension team, winning praises from experts and scholars in the field of hypertension worldwide.
In recent years, the hypertension team in the Department of Cardiology of the hospital insists to innovate and research unceasingly on the basis of the solid foundation laid by its predecessors, has made breakthroughs in clinical and scientific research, becoming an indispensable force in promoting the development of hypertension career in China. Hereafter, the hypertension team will further inherit and carry forward its excellent tradition and make greater contributions to the prevention and treatment of hypertension in China.
