In the morning of May 22, the “Masters on Theories and Skills, Liver Imaging via Gd-EOB-DTPA” academic exchange meeting was held in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, where Dr. Luigi Grazioli, Director of Radiology Department in Brescia Hospital in Italy, was invited to make academic exchange. This meeting was presided over by Director Yang Jian of the Medical Imaging Department.

Since the hepatocyte high-specific magnetic resonance contrast agent Gd-EOB-DTPA entered Chinese market seven years ago, it has aroused wide public concern and won recognition of doctors from the imaging department and liver disease department, and is recommended as a preferred scheme for diagnosis of liver cancer. Dr. Luigi Grazioli, Director of Radiology Department in Brescia Hospital in Italy was invited to make the report of How to Accurately Diagnose Solid Liver Lesion via Gd-EOB-DTPA,  in which he detailed the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH) and hepatic adenoma (HA). Then he made heated discussion with experts from Medical Imaging Department, Director Li En’xiao from Medical Oncology, Professor Lin Shumei and Professor Han Qunying from Infectious Department, and Professor Xu Jun from Hepatobiliary Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University. This meeting provided an opportunity for Chinese and foreign experts to make full and effective communication and exchange and to learn international advanced philosophy of diagnosis and treatment. Meanwhile, it also promoted mutual understanding and cooperation between the Radiology Department and clinical departments, thus enhancing the discipline development and benefiting more patients with liver cancer.
