Co-sponsored by Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA), Endovascology Committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Changhai Hospital, ENDOVASCOLOGY 2016 and Academic Conference of Endovascology Committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association was held on October 13-15 in Shanghai with the attendance of Zhang Yanling, President of CMDA, Wang Shenming, Chairman of Surgical Angiology Group of Chinese Medical Association, Wang Yuqi, President of Zhongshan Hospital Fudan University, Chen Zhong, Chairman of Department of Vascular Surgery of Surgery Society of Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Director of Department of Vascular Surgery of Anzhen Hospital, He Xiang, Minister of scientific research department of the Second Military Medical University and more than 2,000 domestic and foreign guests from provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions nationwide and America, Europe, Australia, Japan and Korea. The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Jing Zaiping, Chairman of the conference and Chairman of endovascology committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association.
Feng Jun, Associate Professor of Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of our hospital ranked the 5th in Annual Valuable Case Competition of the conference with high grade of 90.40 and won annual valuable case award, ranking the 1st in the northwest. He gave a report of “Complication of carotid artery stenting and its prevention”. It was reported that there was one (Taiwanese) winning the most valuable award, 5 persons wining annual valuable case award and 10 persons wining award nomination in ENDOVASCOLOGY2016. During the conference, Zhang Yanling, President of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and Jing Zaiping, Chairman of the conference and Director of Endovascology Committee, issued engagement letter of international cooperation committee on clinical research of endovascology committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association to representatives of foreign experts. Professor Jing Zaiping, Chairman of the conference, wrote autograph for prize presentation of individuals.
Vascular disease is the second largest disease threatening health, and endovascular disease is most dangerous among reasons of death caused by vascular diseases. In recent years, the academic status of vascular disease study has been increased and is gradually becoming one of the clinical subjects of the most vitality and vigor.
Since the first conference in 1997, ENDOVASCOLOGY has undertaken the mission of introducing development of international vascular surgery to China and showing the latest achievements of Chinese vascular surgery to the world. Following the tradition of high quality and high efficiency, this conference was of substantial and contents with strong academic atmosphere. An international academic exchange platform with innovation and an innovative academic exchange platform with internationalism that we could share at home were established by the conference. The new trends, new developments and new achievements of basic and clinical researches of endovascology in China were fully displayed. Thus the international influence of Chinese endovascology is enlarged to make contribution to the progress and development of international endovascology.
