The 47th annual conference of American Pancreatic Association was held on October 26-29, 2016 in Boston, America. Clinicians and researchers of pancreas field worldwide attended this academic conference which represented the highest level in diseases of pancreas.
Doctor Li Xuqi, Associate Researcher of Department of General Surgery of our hospital, attended this meeting and delivered a featured speech. After fierce competition with more than 100 young scholars from America, England, Italy, Germany, Australia, Japan and Korea, Doctor Li Xuqi won Young Investigator Award of the annual meeting of American Pancreatic Association. As the only physician obtaining this award in mainland China, he won important academic influence and reputation for our hospital and obtained congratulation and praise from participating representatives.
Professor Carlos Castillo, Chairman of American Pancreatic Association and Director of the digestion and tumor center of Massachusetts General Hospital, and Professor Ashok Saluja, financial officer of American Pancreatic Association and Vice Director of surgery department of University of Miami, issued certificate of award to Doctor Li Xuqi.
After the conference, Doctor Li Xuqi, Doctor Wang Zheng from Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery and Doctor Xu Qinhong from Department of Gerontological Surgery visited Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University. Then they visited Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and laboratory of Professor Christine Iacobuzio-Donahue. They discussed on cooperation on scientific research and academic visit plan.

He published more than 50 academic papers, 15 SCI papers in journals such asClinical Cancer Researchas the first author or corresponding author with maximum citing of one paper of 90.
He is a young member of Chinese Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, of Chinese International Exchange and Promotion Association for Medical and Healthcare, and member of American Pancreatic Association. He is also the editorial board member ofTranslational Cancer Research (SCI journal), advisory editorial board member ofOncoTargets and Therapy (SCI journal) andDrug Design, Development and Therapy (SCI journal). Meanwhile, he is an editorial board member ofWorld Chinese Journal of Digestology, young editorial board member ofInternational Journal of Pathology and Clinical Medicine, and young and middle-aged editorial board member ofChinese Journal of Cancer Prevention and Treatment.He has obtained the honor of Top Ten Prominent Teachers.
