On December 24, 2022, the 19th National Urological Urolithiasis Meeting in conjunction with 10th National Urological Nursing Meeting, hosted by Chinese Urological Association (CUA) and organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), were held in our hospital.
Under the latest situation of prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic nationwide, this meeting was held online. Dozens of experts from major national hospitals were invited to share and exchange their viewpoints. The meeting consists of two special reports, six dissertation exchange sessions and two expert debate sessions. During theurolithiasis session, experts delivered exchanges and heated discussion regarding hot and difficult issues in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary calculi, and jointly illustrated the latest progress on the prevention and treatment of urinary calculi and comprehensive treatment of complex calculi,etc. The nursing session focused on the new theories, models, methods and achievements of urological nursing, establishing a high-level academic exchange platform for urological nursing colleagues and peers across China.
The opening ceremony of the urolithiasis meeting was chaired by Professor He Hui, Executive Chairman of the meeting, Member of Urolithiasis Group of CUA and a sub-disciplinary academic leader of Department of Urology in our hospital. Professor Wang Maode, Executive Vice President of our hospital, Professor Li Lei, Director Department of Urology, Professor Ye Zhangqun, former director of CUA and leader of Urolithiasis Group of CUA, and Professor Huang Jian, Director of CUA, delivered speeches, respectively. The opening ceremony of the nursing meeting was chaired by Professor Jiang Yumei, Director of Patient Service Center and academic leader of nursing discipline of Department of Urology. Professor Liu Qingguang, Vice President of our hospital, Professor Xin Xia, Director of Nursing Department, Professor Li Lei, Director of Department of Urology and Professor He Wei from Department of Urology of Tongji Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, leader of Nursing Group of CUA, delivered speeches, respectively.
During the 1-day academic session, clinicians and nursing experts on the clinical front lines delivered extensive academic debate and in-depth exchange regarding each issue and argument. The content of the meeting was intriguing and diverse, the discussion was intense and the meeting adhered to clinical practice with innovative ideas. Finally, Professor Chen Xingfa from Department of Urology of our hospital, Professor He Hui and Professor Ma Xuexia, Member of Nursing Group of CUA and Head Nurse of Department of Urology of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital,gave concluding speeches, respectively.
