From November 25 to 27, 2022 National Conference of Digestive Disease-related Interventional Radiology (CDIR2022) in conjunction with the 5th International Summit Forum on Cirrhotic Portal Hypertension and the 8th Shaanxi Provincial Symposium on Digestive Disease-related Interventional Radiology, hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), were successfully held online.
The opening ceremony was co-chaired by Executive Chairman of the conference, Professor Xue Hui from our hospital, Professor Dai Shejiao from the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU, Professor Tie Jun from Xijing Hospital of Air Force Medical University and Professor Luo Zhonghua from Tangdu Hospital of Air Force Medical University. Chairman and Honorary Chairman of CDIR2022 delivered speeches, respectively. Ma Xinge, Party Secretary of our hospital, introduced the history and achievements of our hospital in recent years, and recognized persistent progress and breakthrough in interventional diagnosis and treatment for digestive disease achieved by the digestive intervention team.
CDIR2022 consisted of 7 special sessions including liver cancer forum, top-notched expert lecture, portal hypertension and embolism special session, perfect partner contest for MDT diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer, tumor intervention special session, tumor ablation special session, and interventional radiology salon for youth scholar of Shaanxi Interventional Radiology Branch. A total of 124 prestigious domestic experts and professors in the fields of digestive system and intervention and two international experts including Professor Dominik Bettinger from University Medical Center Freiburg in Germanyand Toshihiro Tanaka from Nara Medical University Hospital in Japan were invited to conduct academic exchange. Experts delivered academic lectures, case discussion and other forms of academic exchanges regarding TIPS for cirrhotic portal hypertension, PTVE, BRTO, cTACE for liver cancer, dTACE, Y90 microsphere, target drug combined with immune therapy, radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, nano-knife, Budd-Chiari syndrome and liver transplantation, achieving in-depth integration of academic hotspots, latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, latest guidelines and expert consensus and clinical practice.
On the afternoon of November 26, six representative teams from Sichuan Cancer Hospital, Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Yunnan Cancer Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU, Xijing Hospital of Air Force Medical University and the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU participated in the perfect partner contest for MDT diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer. Finally, the MDT team of liver cancer from our hospital (Li Weizhi, Wang Yun and Tian Min) received the honorary title of perfect partner and advanced into the national finals. On the morning of November 27, interventional radiology salon for youth scholar of Shaanxi Interventional Radiology Branch was held, which was chaired by Professor Luo Zhonghua and Professor Xu Jian. Professor Wu Zhiqun and Professor Liu Yamin delivered professional comments. Zhang Junbo, Li Weizhi and a group of young talents from Shaanxi province shared their valuable experience in interventional diagnosis and treatment, bringing significant benefits to all participants.
