On September 22, 2016 the seminar on new progress of international laser technology in our department was held under the auspices of Professor Guo Shuzhong and Professor Shu Maoguo. We have the honor to invite Professor Michael H. Gold from Tennessee, USA to make a wonderful introduction to the new progress in international laser technology at the seminar.

Professor Michael H. Gold is not only the founder of the GOLD Skin Care Center, Advanced Medical Cosmetic SPA Center and Clinical Research Center of Tennessee in USA, but also the Secretary General of the International Society of Dermatological Surgery, and an outstanding contributor to the fields of global Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, medical cosmetic services and clinical research of Cosmetic Dermatology. At the seminar, Professor GOLD described the latest developments and applications of advanced laser instruments, mainly demonstrated the technical achievements of foreign advanced laser for medical beauty, lectured on the technical principles and operating norms in the operation of medical laser, and shared valuable experiences in the laser treatment of skin diseases and laser beauty. The venue was packed, the academic atmosphere was strong and the academic achievements were remarkable.

Through this meeting, we have learned more about the most cutting-edge theories and technologies in the fields of laser medical cosmetology and birthmark diagnosis and treatment, and gained more experience of clinical practice. It has not only promoted the exchange and cooperation between peers, but also brought the technical achievements of advanced laser for medical beauty directly to the patients, which plays an important role in improving the diagnosis and treatment quality of dermatology beauty industry in China and allows more people to enjoy the perfect results of cutting-edge laser technology.
