2022 National Postgraduates Summer School——"Innovation and Practice of Engineering Medicine Surgery" was held online from July 26 to 28, 2022.
Lyu Yi, Deputy Head of Surgery Group of Chinese Society of Surgery of Chinese Medical Association, Vice President of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and President of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU, Wang Jiandong, Member and Secretary of Surgery Group of Chinese Society of Surgery of Chinese Medical Association from Department of General Surgery of Xinhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, Zhang Ming, Director of Department of Education of XJTU Health Science Center, Liu Chang, Vice President of our hospital, Sun Xuejun, Director of Discipline of Surgery, Bai Hongliang, Director of Clinical Technology Experimental Center, 81 doctoral students, postgraduates, undergraduates and young researchers from more than 30 universities in China, and 332 teachers and students on Siyuan live streaming platform of XJTU attended the opening ceremony.
Nearly 30 experts and professors delivered keynote speeches during the basic research, theme and clinical study sessions. Professor Cui Kunyu from Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences shared the research process from the development of micro-ultrasonic probe to the product translation, and the application of high-frequency micro-ultrasonic probe in clinical practice. Professor Zheng Yufeng from Peking University illustrated the key scientific issues in implantable devices, such as biosafety and effectiveness, and degradation control. Professor Wang Guangzhi from Tsinghua University explicitly elaborated multimodal information planning and its guiding role in precise surgical treatment. Li Jinsheng, Chief Technology Officer of Our United Corp. shared the potential advantages of proton therapy and MRI for cancer treatment. Zhang Zhenxi and Guo Baolin from XJTU introduced the application and research of photodynamic therapy and multifunctional medical hydrogel in biomedical photonics. Liu Xiaoli, Zhang Zhanqin and Wang Fumin from our hospital gave presentations regarding magnetic nano-drugs and physical therapy, Raman spectroscopy and clinical detection, and thinking and study of high-dimensional clinical data mining, respectively.
Professor Wang Yunbing from Sichuan University introduced the latest advances in biological heart valves and ECMO. Professor Chen Guimin of XJTU elucidated the research and development of compliant mechanisms and "rigid and compliant" medical robot. Professor Peng Niancai shared the manufacture, study, research and application of molecular diagnostic technology. Experts and professors from our hospital shared the innovation in Cherenkov luminous imaging technology, research and development of magnetic surgical equipment, pulsed ablation technology for tumor treatment, medical imaging technology and key technological innovation in organ transplantation, respectively. Relevant policies of talent recruitment in our hospital were also illustrated.
Professor Wang Jiandong introduced surgical strategies for gallbladder cancer, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and hilar cholangiocarcinoma. Professor Yan Sheng from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University unraveled the pathogenesis and research progress on small liver syndrome. Professor Liu Xuemin, Professor Fan Lin, Professor Yao Yingmin and Professor Zhang Xufeng from our hospital introduced the basic research and clinical application of magnet-assisted rapid liver transplantation, application progress of magnetic surgery in gastrointestinal surgery, development and evolution of laparoscopy-the road of laparoscopic technology, development of surgical energy output equipment and cutting-edge technologies related to surgical technological innovation, respectively. Doctoral student Zhang Ning from XJTU illustrated the writing method of systematic review. Professor Liu Yingbin from Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine shared the inheritance, innovation and development of surgery. Professor Liu Bingrong from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University presented the ideology of "building a powerful nation as an inspiration, making exploration as a habit".
At the graduation ceremony, student representatives shared their feelings and experiences. A total of 190 students attended the online course viaTencent Meeting, and over 2,200 students participated in the course on Siyuan live streaming platform. The number of students has been significantly increased.
