On June 23, 2022, "National Medical Center Innovation Month-Pediatric Neurocritical Care Forum", hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), was successfully held. Liu Xiaohong, Director of Department of Pediatrics, served as the Chairman of this forum. More than 300 peers nationwide attended the forum online.
Ma Xiancang, Vice President of our hospital, delivered a speech and illustrated the significance of Science and Technology Innovation Month by our hospital,introduced the general profile of Department of Pediatrics, and highly recognized the professional level of pediatric neurology. Professor Jiang Yuwu from Peking University First Hospital demonstrated typical clinical cases to elucidate the diagnosis and research progress and the highlights of differential diagnosis of common pediatric neurocritical-acute encephalopathy. Professor Ma Le from XJTU Health Science Center gave a lecture entitled "Concise Summary of Clinical Science Problems", selected the articles published in JAMA and other prestigious journals to illustrate the core of cross-sectional study and case report,and emphasized the pivotal role of multidisciplinary collaboration and big data in high-quality clinical trials. Professor Peng Jing from Xiangya Hospital of Central South University presented several typical cases and introduced the latest research progress upon the diagnosis and treatment of another neurocritical disease-febrile infection-related epilepsy syndrome at home and abroad. Professor Liu Zhao from Children's Hospital of University of Missouri in U.S. elaborated the latest etiology classification of acute myelitis and illustrated the application of relevant molecular targeted precise therapy. Director Liu Xiaohong shared the latest progress on the diagnosis and treatment of convulsive status epilepticus, a common pediatric neurocritical disease. Deputy Chief Physician Yang Yonghua gave a reported entitled "Diagnosis of GTCS attack based on video application and deep learning technology".
Finally, Director Liu Xiaohong delivered a concluding speech. She highlighted that with the theme of "Multidisciplinary Integration for Stable and Far-reaching Development", this forum adhered to the concept of "Sharing of Science and Technology, Collision of Different Thinking", focused upon cutting-edge technologies and hot issues in the fields of engineering medicine, clinical medicine and translational medicine, and achieved a complete success.
During Pediatric Neurocritical Care Forum, experts at home and abroad in the field of pediatricneurology were invited to deliver intriguing lectures. This forum enabled all participants to understand more basic and cutting-edge research results, broaden their horizons, and provide more ideas for subsequent scientific research and clinical work.
