On May 28, 2022, the 2nd Cardiovascular Ultrasound Competition for Complicated Cases of Shaanxi Province, hosted by Shaanxi Province Association of Ultrasound in Medicine and Engineering, co-organized by UCG Room of Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and Department of Ultrasound of Xijing Hospital, was successfully held both online and offline, with more than 9,000 online participants.
In the first half of this competition, guests were invited to give speeches on complicated cases, and in the second half, all contestants were prepared for intense competition. At the opening ceremony during the first half session, Professor Zhou Xiaodong, President of Shaanxi Province Association of Ultrasound in Medicine and Engineering, Professor Duan Yunyou, former Director of Department of Ultrasound of Tangdu Hospital, and Bai Ling, Deputy Director of Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of our hospital delivered speeches, respectively. Professor Zhu Tiangang from Peking University People's Hospital, Professor Tang Hong from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Professor Xie Mingxing from Union Medical College Hospital of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Professor Kong Lingqiu from Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM, Professor Li Hongling from Rizhao International Heart Hospital, Professor Zheng Minjuan from Air Force Medical University and Professor Wang Shun from our hospital were invited to share intriguing complicated cases.
During the second half, the cardiovascular ultrasound competition for complicated cases was officially launched. Professor Li Yongxin from Departmentof Cardiovascular Surgery, Professor Han Ke, Professor Qiang Hua and Professor Lu Qun from Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of our hospital served as the judges. In total, 16 contestants from ECG Room of Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of Xijing Hospital of Air Force Medical University, Tangdu Hospital, Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, Xi’an Daxing Hospital, our hospital and other hospitals participated in this competition, and shared clinical experience in Clinical cases ofs pace-occupying lesions in heart and blood vessels, Clinical cases related to valvular heart disease and great vessel surgery, Diagnostic experience of rare congenital heart diseases, Clinical application of integrated ultrasonic evaluation of heart, brain and lung in children with severe diseases, Application of novel echocardiography technologies and Experience of the left ventricular contrast echocardiography for accurate diagnosis of cardiomyopathy, etc.
Finally, Professor Zheng Minjuan, Deputy Director of Department of Ultrasound of Xijing Hospital of Air Force Medical University, presented certificates and prizes to the awardees.
