On the afternoon of May 27, 2022, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) organized and held the first regular work meeting to promote the construction of National Medical Center. Lyu Yi, Vice President of XJTU and President of our hospital, all the other leaders of our hospital and heads of relevant department attended the meeting, which was chaired by Party Secretary Ma Xinge.

Ma Xin, Director of National Medical Center Construction Office, reported the overall progress upon the construction of National Medical Center. According to the Implementation Plan for the Construction of National Medical Center, responsible leaders and staff of the basic construction project team, key research project team, security project team, and seven National Medical Center construction teams (R&D key research center and achievement translation center construction team, talent training center construction team, regional medical export center construction team, international exchange and cooperation center construction team, clinical diagnosis and treatment center construction team, public health clinical center construction team, and integrative Chinese and Western medicine collaborative innovation center construction team) reported the construction plan and progress, respectively.

Lyu Yi recognized the staged achievements made by each project team and center construction team. He stressed that all departments should attach great importance, determine the deadline of each stage, and formulate specific implementation measures based upon the objectives and tasks. Subsequently, each department should arrange half-year work report especially according to the implementation results of the construction of National Medical Center, aiming to ensure that all tasks areconsolidated and implemented.

Ma Xinge stated that this was the first regular work meeting to promote the construction of National Medical Center. Next, we’ll speed up the pace of work promotion and make the regular meeting become a system. Each project team should firmly grasp the objectives and tasks, formulate specific timetables, road maps, task books and responsible persons, practically implement the construction plan, and complete all tasks with high quality and efficiency, aiming to attain the goals of National Medical Center and high-quality development.
