On May 26, 2022, CGM Intelligent Ward for Diabetes Mellitus in Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) was officially launched in the East District (Yanliang district). Zhao Aijun, Deputy Director of Health Bureau of Yanliang District, was specially invited to attend the ceremony. Wu Dapeng, Vice President of East District of our hospital, Professor Shi Bingyin from Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism of our hospital, Director Guo Hui, heads of administrative departments, heads of certain clinical departments and all medical staff from Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism of East District attended the ceremony. The launching ceremony was presided over by Qiang Wei, Director of Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism of East District.
Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism of our hospital took the lead in establishing CGM Intelligent Ward for Diabetes Mellitus based on blood glucose information management in northwest China. CGM Intelligent Ward is physician-patient centered, based on novel technologies such as bluetooth, Internet and Internet of Things, and equipped with blood glucose information management mode. It can collect batches of blood glucose data of hospitalized patients in a real-time manner, which enables physicians, nurses and patients to quickly and accurately obtain blood glucose information and provide efficient blood glucose management for medical staff.
At the launching meeting, Guo Hui explicitly elaborated on the working principle, functions and advantages of CGM Intelligent Ward for Diabetes Mellitus. Zhao Aijun, Wu Dapeng, Shi Bingyin and Guo Hui jointly unveiled the plaque of CGM Intelligent Ward for Diabetes Mellitus.
Wu Dapeng proposed that the first CGM Intelligent Ward for Diabetes Mellitus in northwest China settles in East District significantly reflects deep integration of two districts of our hospital, which is the profound practice of the concept of homogenized development and integrated construction between two districts. Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism in both districts will develop and prosper together. East District will also better serve the diabetes mellitus patients in northwest China.
East District of our hospital, as the Primary Standardized Education Base for Diabetes Mellitus in Shaanxi Province, will take advantages of the construction of CGM Intelligent Ward for Diabetes Mellitus to cooperate with other departments, providing better quality, more efficient and more convenient medical services for patients with diabetes mellitus in northwest China.
