Zhao Yingren is elected as Vice President of Infectious Disease Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association

On October 8, the 4th Infectious Disease Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association Meeting in conjunction with the re-election meeting was held in Hangzhou, which was presided over by Academician Li Lanjuan, a prestigious expert in the field of infectious diseases. Nearly 200 experts in the fields of infectious and liver diseases all over the country gathered together. After democratic voting, President, Vice President and Standing Committee Members of the 4th committee were elected. Zhao Yingren, Director of Department of Infectious Diseases of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), was elected as Vice President, signifying that the clinical diagnosis and treatment, scientific research and other aspects of Department of Infectious Diseases of our hospital have been further recognized by the counterparts nationwide and also indicating that the disciplinary reputation has reached a new height.

Under the leadership of Director Zhao Yingren, all physicians and nurses joined hands to advance the individualized treatment of chronic hepatitis B and chronic hepatitis C to reach the international levels. The success rate of treatment of severe and complicated liver diseases has reached the leading levels in China. The diagnosis and treatment levels of mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B, hemorrhagic fever complicated with renal syndrome, critically ill AIDS and fever with unknown origin rank first in the northwest region and reach leading levels nationwide. The department has been nominated on the Fudan Discipline Ranking List for 5 consecutive years and grabbed the first place in Northwest China.

Zhao Yingren, second-grade professor, first-grade Chief Physician and doctoral tutor, serves as Standing Committee Member of Society of Infectious Diseases of Chinese Medical Association, Vice President of Infectious Disease Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Deputy Chairman of Committee of Rational Use of Antimicrobial Drugs of Chinese Hospital Association. From 2007 to 2008, he studied at UCLA University in the United States as a visiting scholar. He has hosted 13 national projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, Major Project of Infectious Diseases in the 11th, 12th and 13th Five-Year Plan of Ministry of Science and Technology,etc. He has obtained research funding totaling 10 million Yuan, and achieved a series of research results. He has published more than 120 papers, including 87 published in SCI-indexed journals. He took the lead in formulating the first evidence-based Guideline for Prevention and Treatment of Mother-to-Child Transmission of Hepatitis B Virus (2019 Edition), participated in compiling all the paper and electronic textbooks of Infectious Diseases of the four major publishing houses. He serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Emerging Infectious Diseases. He has received multiple honorary titles, such as Advanced Individuals in Fighting against COVID-19 Pandemic in China and the 2nd Youth Science and Technology Award of Shaanxi Province,etc.
