On the afternoon of September 27, 2021, Professor Pang Baoxu from Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands paid a visit to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), especially the BioBank and Precision Medicine Center.
On the morning of September 28, accompanied by Professor Wang Yanan from Center for Immunological and Metabolic Diseases (CIMD) of MED-X Institute, Professor Ye Kai from Institute of Digital Medicine and relevant staff, Professor Pang Baoxu visited MED-X Institute and delivered an academic lecture entitled "Systematic identification of silencer elements in the human genome". He introduced part of his research work, and conducted in-depth academic exchanges with teachers and students from XJTU Health Science Center and MED-X Institute.



On the afternoon of September 28, Professor Pang Baoxu visited our hospital for academic exchange. Lyu Yi, President of our hospital, Ren Hui, Deputy Director of International Exchange Office, Wu Rongqian, Deputy Director of National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center of Precision Surgery and Regenerative Medicine, Professor Wang Yanan from Center for Immunological and Metabolic Diseases (CIMD) of MED-X Institute and Professor Ye Kai from Institute of Digital Medicine attended the academic exchange meeting. Deputy Director Ren Hui briefly introduced the development of international exchanges and cooperation of our hospital. Subsequently, Professor Pang Baoxu shared his research fields and achievements, hoping to establish partnership between the medical team from Leiden University and our hospital. At the meeting, President Lyu Yi mainly illustrated the achievements made by our hospital in clinical research, talent training and scientific research transformation in recent years, and stressed that XJTU and Leiden University have established profound foundation for mutual cooperation. Our hospital will adhere to the concept of a shared community for human health, and deliver more in-depth cooperation and exchanges in the field of medical and life science.

Professor Pang Baoxu expressed congratulations on rapid development of multiple research platforms in our hospital, and sincerely hoped that through this academic exchange, bilateral sides can maintain contact and lay a solid foundation for further strengthening partnership in the future.
