From August 21 to 28, 2021, the 7th Chang'an Forum on Breast Diseases in conjunction with the inauguration ceremony of Professional Committee of Precision Treatment of Tumors of Xi 'an Cancer Rehabilitation Association were held both online and offline in Xi 'an, which were co-hosted by International Medical Exchange Branch of China Anti-Cancer Association, Shaanxi Anti-Cancer Association, Shaanxi Province Health Care Association, Shaanxi Province Preventive Medicine Association and Xi 'an Cancer Rehabilitation Association and organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU). More than 38,000 participants watched the live broadcast forum, and over 300 experts shared and exchanged academic ideas.
On the morning of August 22, Professor Jiang Zefei from PLA General Hospital, Professor He Jianjun and Professor Li Enxiao from our hospital delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Professor Lyu Yi delivered a speech as the president of our hospital.
At the opening ceremony, tens of experts at home and abroad gave intriguing keynote speeches, and the guests delivered heated discussion on these academic speeches.
This forum consisted of 16 sub-forums including "Clinical research in the field of breast diseases", "Immunotherapy in the field of breast diseases", "Management of tumor drug safety in the field of breast diseases", "Endocrine therapy", "Tour lecture on CSCO BC guidelines", "Familial hereditary tumors", "MDT", "Chemotherapy in the field of breast diseases", "Education on adverse reactions of patients in the field of breast diseases", “Special session of targeted therapy”, “Special session of pathological and laboratory examinations”, “Seminar on CSCO AI-assisted standardized diagnosis and treatment” and “Nursing sub-forum”.
Hundreds of experts focused on the latest research trends, discussed the hot spots of academic disputes covering from the demonstration of breast surgery to research progress on diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant breast diseases, and actively explored the transformation of clinical trial results into clinical practice, striving to comprehensively and accurately reflect the novel concepts, developments and models in various fields, such as diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases and nursing care,etc.
In the sub-forum of "China Original Research Forum", experts delivered presentations entitled "Groundbreaking Efficacy of Dapiride in Treating HR+/HER2-Advanced Breast Cancer", "Real-World Study of HDAC Inhibitor-Chidamide", "Second-line Standard Treatment of HER2-positive Breast Cancer-Interpretation of PHOEBE Study", "Application of Henlius in HER2+Breast Cancer Patients", "FUTURE C plus Fudan Experiment" and "Selection of Chemotherapy Regime for Advanced Breast Cancer in Post-paclitaxel Era", which shared the original research results and innovative wisdom in clinical trials and evidence-based medicine of breast cancer from Chinese scholars.
In the sub-forum of "Tour lecture on CSCO BC guidelines", multiple experts contributed professional presentations entitled “Interpretation and Extension of CSCO Guidelines for Advanced Breast Cancer”, “Interpretation of Diagnosis and Treatment of Brain Metastasis from Advanced Breast Cancer according to CSCO Guidelines”, “Interpretation of CSCO Guidelines on Early Breast Cancer” and “Interpretation of Expert Consensus on Bone Metastasis from Breast Cancer in China”, respectively.
In the "Special session of targeted therapy ", scholars shared insights upon the topics and case discussion regarding the therapeutic strategies for HER2+early and advanced breast cancer.
At the closing ceremony on the morning of August 28, young physicians from our hospital delivered intriguing speeches entitled "Hard Work Pays Off-My Path of Growth", "I am a Physician on the Roof of the World" and "Medicine is Undergoing Involution? Try Hardor Lie Flat".
