On September 2, the 1st Shaanxi Province Training Course for Nurses in Specialty of Psychiatry and Psychology was held in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). It aims to promote the development of psychiatric and psychological nursing care in Shaanxi province, satisfy the requirement of physical and mental rehabilitation of patients, and play an active role in accelerating the professional and standardized development of psychiatric and psychological nursing care in Shaanxi province.
Liu Na, Director of Hospital Administration Bureau of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, Ma Xiancang, Vice President of our hospital, relevant leaders of Nursing Department, Director and head nurses of Department of Psychiatry and Psychology, head nurses of relevant departments, Liu Xiaojuan, Director of Nursing Department of Mental Health Center of Xi 'an City, a Clinical Practice Training Base, and 33 trainees from 20 hospitals in Shaanxi province attended the opening ceremony.
The host introduced the training time, methods and contents, assessment methods, clinical practice training trainers, trainee recruitment procedures and trainee composition. The first batch of Clinical Practice Training Bases were Mental Health Center of Xi 'an City and Department of Psychiatry and Psychology of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU.
Chen Yunchun, Director of Clinical Practice Training Base, delivered a speech. Liu Na highly recognized the mental health work of our hospital, hoping to continually take the advantage of the resources of our hospital and make due contributions to the development of psychiatric and psychological nursing care in Shaanxi province. She also expected that the trainees can seize this training course as an opportunity to facilitate the psychiatric and psychological nursing work in their affiliations and accelerate the development of nursing specialty in Shaanxi province.
Ma Xiancang gave constructive proposals on the psychiatric and psychological nursing work, hoping that after the training course and returning to work, each trainee can take the initiative to promote the development and elevation of psychiatric and psychological nursing work in Shaanxi province, and accelerate comprehensive rehabilitation and restoring social life of the patients.
Xin Xia, Director of Nursing Department, stressed that such systematic and professional training course on psychiatric and psychological nursing care can drive the advancement of psychiatric and psychological nursing work in Shaanxi province and provide better nursing service to the patients.
At the ceremony, the plaque-presenting ceremony of Clinical Practice Training Base was also launched.
