On August 20, the inaugural meeting of Strategic Alliance of Technological Innovation of Medicine and Engineering Integration Industry in Shaanxi Province was held in Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbour.
On behalf of Strategic Alliance of Technological Innovation of Medicine and Engineering Integration Industry in Shaanxi Province, Lyu Yi, Assistant-to-President of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and President of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU, warmly welcomed the guests. Jiang Feng, Chairman of China Medical Devices Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, delivered an online speech, hoping that the strategic alliance can produce early-stage medicine and engineering innovative outcomes and cultivate a group of physicians, scientists and entrepreneurs, and jointly contribute to the integration of medicine and engineering and drive innovative development of medical devices industry.
Jiang Zhuangde, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chairman of Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology, stressed that in-depth integration of medicine and engineering has a highly broad development prospect and explores a novel development direction for engineering industry. It is necessary to transform the science and technology innovative outcomes of medicine combined with engineering into productivity and jointly promote the rapid development of comprehensive health.
Yang Liu, the first-level inspector of Department of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province, proposed that we should profoundly understand the significance of this strategic alliance, accurately grasp the basic ideas and functional positioning of this alliance, and strive to create new advantages in innovative development of Shaanxi province. Relying on Qin Chuang Yuan platform, we should carry out experience exchange and demonstration promotion of collaborative innovation on a regular basis, establish a complete closed-loop system from demand exploration, product matching, R&D support, information feedback, innovative improvement to demand satisfaction, accelerate the transformation and application of scientific research achievements, facilitate the construction of national medical center and drive high-quality development of health industry.
Lu Jianjun, Secretary of Party Committee of XJTU, stressed that the key to promote the integration of medicine and engineering is to identify the integration goals, paths, methods and carriers, carry out work oriented by effect and contribution, fully explore, utilize and nourish the abundant scientific and educational resources of Shaanxi province, further spread the high-quality medical resources to the grassroots hospitals, and advance the health management to health data monitoring. To fully utilize the "catalyst" of interdisciplinary integration, XJTU, as the leading affiliation, should spare no efforts to innovate the working mechanism of the alliance, actively promote the integration of medicine and engineering and strive to achieve novel accomplishment.
Wu Shengli, Secretary-General of Strategic Alliance of Technological Innovation of Medicine and Engineering Integration Industry in Shaanxi Province, introduced the background, procedures, organizations, staff composition of the first council and expert committee, objectives and work plan of this alliance. The alliance will carry out relevant work focusing on the research and development of medical devices and materials, artificial intelligence and digital diagnosis and treatment equipment, precise assessment and life support technology and devices, and active health and wellness devices.
During the meeting, unveiling ceremony, plaque-presenting ceremony to the director affiliations, deputy director affiliations and member affiliations and certificate-presenting ceremony to the the consultants and representatives of the expert committee of the alliance were grandly held.
In the academic presentation session, Wu Rongqian, Jiang Feng, Cui Dong and Fan Menghui delivered academic presentations entitled "Thinking on Development of Technological Innovation in Medicine and Engineering Integration Industry in Shaanxi Province", "Trend and Thinking on Innovation of Medical Devices", "Interpretation of Green Channel Policy for Innovative Medical Devices" and "Interpretation of Application Policy for Science and Technology Project ofShaanxi Province", respectively.
