To accelerate the construction of stroke center in Shaanxi province, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) was entrusted by Health Commission of Shaanxi Province to hold Training Course on the Construction of Stroke Center in Shaanxi Province on August 18, 2021. According to the requirements of prevention and control of COVID-19, this meeting proceeded online, which was presided over by Assistant-to-President Han Jianfeng of our hospital. Yu Chunfu, Director of Hospital Administration Bureau of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, Qu Qiumin, Director of Department of Neurology of our hospital and President of Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance, and more than 300 leaders of stroke center construction affiliations attended the meeting online.
Yu Chunfu, Director of Hospital Administration Bureau of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, stressed in his speech that building a stroke prevention and treatment network, improving the re-perfusion treatment rate and creating a "regional 1-h golden stroke treatment circle" play a pivotal role in enhancing the therapeutic effect for stroke patients. Health Commission of Shaanxi Province has formulated the evaluation indexes for stroke centers along with relevant departments. Subsequently, it will entrust the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU to organize experts to conduct on-site guidance and inspection, aiming to achieve full coverage of tertiary general hospitals and county-level hospitals in Shaanxi province before the end of 2021.
Qu Qiumin, President of Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance and Director of Department of Neurology of our hospital, introduced the significance of the construction of stroke center. He pointed out that the goal of the construction of stroke center is to build a collaborative service system for stroke prevention and treatment, promote the construction of stroke center, bring benefitsto the citizens in this region and further enhance the disciplinary influence to accelerate the high-quality development of each hospital.
Han Jianfeng, Head of the construction of stroke center in Shaanxi province and Assistant-to-President of our hospital, systematically interpreted the standards of Stroke Prevention and Control Center in Shaanxi Province. He required all construction affiliations to attach great importance to medical quality control, give full play to the guiding role of quality control, and promote the standardization of stroke center construction through quality control and persistent improvement and optimization. Finally, Han Jianfeng pointed out the common problems, and hoped that all medical institutions can self-identify and self-correct the problems, achieve self-improvement, creating substantial improvement in the treatment level of cerebrovascular diseases in Shaanxi province.

Assistant-to-President Han Jianfeng delivered a concluding speech, hoping that the heads of relevant stroke centers can attach great importance to the construction of stroke center, actively implement the work requirements of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, jointly build a prevention and treatment network for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, realize the integrated management of stroke patients, thereby elevating the level of stroke center construction in Shaanxi province.
