Key Project of Higher Education Teaching Reform of Shaanxi Province of our hospital is approved as an excellent project during project conclusion meeting

Recently, Key Project of Higher Education Teaching Reform of Shaanxi Province in 2019 entitled "Construction of Medical Humanity Curriculum System Oriented by Cultivation and Promotion of Humanistic Competence in Clinical Posts", undertaken by Professor Liu Chang from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), was approved as an excellent project during the project conclusion meeting organized by Educational Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government. The research results were highly recognized by the evaluation expert group.

As the main affiliation, our hospital cooperated with Shaanxi Normal University and the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU to jointly complete this project. Professor Liu Chang is the person-in-charge of the project, and Zhang Yuelang, Gong Shouping, Liu Huasheng, Li Yan and Sun Yikong serve as team members.

Since the approval of the project in 2019, the project team has emphasized the project goal, major problems and shortcomings in the current medical humanity curriculum construction, not only strengthened the high-quality construction of first-class curriculum, but also accelerated the construction of excellent teaching teams, aiming to explore a novel training mode of all-round development of medical talents in the new era. In the process of research, they focused on the key obstacles of improving the overall quality of medical talent training, put forward the construction of medical humanity curriculum system oriented by cultivation and promotion of humanistic competence in clinical posts, upheld the principles of problem-oriented, goal-oriented, result-oriented and highlighting characteristics, promoted the reform and innovation of medical humanity teaching in an all-round pattern and established the curriculum with ideological and political value, scientific design and novel elements, aiming to set up an exemplary model in China and provide valuable reference for implementing medical humanity curriculum construction, deepening teaching reform and building national first-class curriculum.

Throughout the research and practice of this project, the team has obtained 1 Ideological and Political Demonstration Curriculum of General Undergraduate Education Curriculum of Ministry of Education (the team was awarded asFamous Teacher Team of General Undergraduate Education of Ministry of Education), 1 National First-class Online Curriculum for Undergraduates, 1 First-class Mixed Curriculum for Undergraduates of Shaanxi Province, and the first prize of National Competition of College and University Mixed Teaching Design and Innovation. The person-in-charge of this project presided over 3 national CME projects, translated the Chinese-version "Medical Education-A History in 100 Images" as the main translator, and published more than 10 teaching articles as the first or corresponding author. The research results were widely exchanged with peers from XJTU and other universities. The team delivered 15 lectures at national conferences and universities in Beijing, Jilin province, Shanxi province, Shaanxi province, Gansu province and Yunnan province, which played an exemplary role.
