On June 8, 2021, the Training Course on Appropriate Techniques for Stroke Prevention and Treatment in Shaanxi Province, jointly organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and Yan 'an University Affiliated Hospital, was successfully held in Yan 'an. This training course was initiated by Stroke Prevention Project Office of National Health Commission, and hosted by China Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases Alliance and Stroke Prevention Branch of Chinese Association of Geriatric Research. More than 20 experts from Shaanxi province and other regions were invited to deliver lectures regarding professional techniques, and over 200 experts in the field of stroke prevention and control participated in the training course. The lecturers were organized to carry out free clinic consultation of "Heart and Brain Health Tour in China (Yan’an)". The experts not only popularized technical standards, but also brought concrete benefits to the Yan’an citizens via free clinic consultation.
The academic lecture session was started on the morning of June 8 after free clinic consultation. The meeting was presided over by Professor Han Jianfeng from our hospital. Qu Qiumin, President of Shaanxi Stroke Association, Bai Mangmang, President of Yan 'an University Affiliated Hospital, and Chao Baohua, Director of Stroke Prevention Project Office delivered speeches, respectively. The training course lasted for a whole day. In the morning, Professor Han Jianfeng from our hospital and Professor Li Yusheng from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University gave explicit explanations on the theories and standards of stroke center construction and fast-track channel. In the afternoon, Professor Xue Yidong from Yan 'an University Affiliated Hospital, Professor Zhu Liangfu from Henan Provincial People's Hospital, Professor Song Wenfeng from our hospital and other experts delivered in-depth analysis and shared clinical experience of thrombolysis, thrombus removal and secondary prevention of stroke.
A panel discussion was initiated after the academic lectures.
Finally, Professor Han Jianfeng gave a concluding speech, hoping that this training course can help better establish the stroke centers in their affiliations, actively support the construction of three centers in Shaanxi province, build up a stroke center in northwest China as soon as possible, contribute to the construction of Stroke Rescue and Treatment Network in Shaanxi Province and work together for One Million Stroke-induced Disability Reduction Initiative.
