On May 7, 2021, the kick-off meeting of standardized construction of China Dialysis Demonstration Center was held in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). Directors and Head Nurses of Department of Nephrology and Hemodialysis Centers from more than 20 hospitals in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Shanxi province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Gansu province, Qinghai province, Xining and Shaanxi Province were invited to pay a visit to Department of Blood Purification in our hospital.
Dr. Sun Lingshuang introduced the development of Department of Blood Purification and our hospital in recent years. Dr. Wang Meng and Managing Nurse Wei Qiaoning shared the implementation of the integrated management of physicians, nurses and patients, and how to achieve refined management, letting the guests realize the significance of integrated management of physicians, nurses and patients for hemodialysis patients and the necessity of persistent improvement of medical quality. All participants deeply understood how to deliver integrated management for patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis in an all-round pattern and recoganized the importance of this management mode for implementing standardized and homogeneous management. Besides, they expected to learn from the management mode of our department. After the lectures, all participants visited Department of Blood Purification of our hospital, and delivered exchanges on the current information system, chronic disease management system and clinical engineering of our hospital.
At the sub-venues, Professor Li Zhenjiang from Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, Professor Zhang Li from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University, Professor Ma Zhigang from Gansu Provincial People's Hospital, and Head Nurse Gao Julin, Deputy Director Liu Hua, Attending Physician Wei Meng, Attending Physician Xue Jinhong and Deputy Head Nurse Liu Xiaomin from Department of Blood Purification of our hospital exchanged ideas regarding various chronic complications of hemodialysis patients, including the evolution path of CKD-MBD guidelines, risk factors of clinical efficacy of non-calcium phosphate binders, thinkings on improving quality control of hemodialysis, elevating nursing quality of hemodialysis through parameter detection, novel management strategies for renal anemia, research progress on nutritional evaluation of hemodialysis patients, importance of serum albumin level reaching 40% in dialysis patients and energy management of dialysis patients, reflecting the decision-making and implementation of standardized management of diagnosis and treatment for maintenance of hemodialysis patients.
During this meeting, the assessment standards of standardized demonstration centers were discussed, expecting more qualified hemodialysis centers to promote the standardized construction of dialysis demonstration centers under the leadership of National Health Commission Capacity Building and Continuing Education Center, assist each parameter of dialysis patients to meet the standards, restore dialysis patients to normal life and bring more benefit and care to patients suffering from kidney diseases.
