To standardize the construction of Parkinson's disease outpatient and improve the diagnostic and treatment quality of Parkinson's disease, the themed training course entitled "Construction of Parkinson's Disease Outpatient" was held by Parkinson's Disease Prevention and Treatment Alliance in Northwest China on the afternoon of April 23, 2021. Nearly 30 physicians from multiple hospitals in Shaanxi province attended the training course.

As the leading affiliation of Parkinson's Disease Prevention and Treatment Alliance in Northwest China and National Neurology Medical Center for Northwest Region, Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) has been committed to the standardized diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson's disease and the promotion of Parkinson's disease outpatient. Professor Wang Tao from Department of Neurology of Union Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology was invited to give a themed lecture on the standardized diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. Professor Cao Hongmei from Department of Neurology of our hospital explicitly illustrated the significance and requirements of the construction of Parkinson's disease outpatient, and shared the experience of the construction of Parkinson's disease outpatient in our hospital. Professor Zhang Qiaojun from Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU delivered an in-depth introduction of the rehabilitation strategies for patients with Parkinson's diseases.

After the lecture, all participants had a heated discussion on the topics proposed by three experts and the construction of Parkinson's disease outpatient. The success of the training course will definitely promote the rapid development of Parkinson's disease outpatient in Northwest China.
