After the activities of free diagnosis on May 5, the 10th World Pulmonary Hypertension Day, multidisciplinary team of pulmonary hypertension from Department of Structural Heart Diseases of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) successfully hosted the 2021 Chang'an Forum on Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment of Pulmonary Hypertension in conjunction with the 2nd Chang'an Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Conference.
The conference was jointly hosted by Cardio-pulmonary Vascular Committee of Cardiology Society of Chinese Association of Geriatric Research, Professional Committee of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation of Shaanxi Province Health Care Association, and Branch of Structural Heart Diseases of Xi’an Medical Association, and co-organized by Department of Structural Heart Diseases, Department of Cardiac Surgery, Multidisciplinary Team Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Pulmonary Hypertension and Heart Rehabilitation Center of our hospital. Clinical professionals and research experts in the fields of congenital heart diseases, immune rheumatic diseases, left heart diseases, lung diseases and pulmonary vascular diseases throughout China were invited to share new knowledge, new technology and new experience of pulmonary hypertension in common diseases, and interpret the latest version of guidelines on pulmonary embolism. The experts also demonstrated the standardized application and evaluation of standardized right cardiac catheterization technology, T-R-T treatment technology for congenital heart disease-related pulmonary hypertension and interventional diagnosis and treatment technology for pulmonary hypertension and discussed the challenges in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary vascular diseases, aiming to pioneer the direction of standardized diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension.
The conference is themed with pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary embolism. Professor Hu Dayi, a prestigious cardiovascular expert along with cardiopulmonary rehabilitation professionals with abundant experience and fundamental knowledge across the country were invited to explain, demonstrate and guide the prevention and rehabilitation of cardiopulmonary diseases, covering the topics of screening of high-risk population, evaluation of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, rehabilitation of patients with common cardio-pulmonary vascular diseases and implementing the practice of prevention and rehabilitation of cardiopulmonary diseases. About 6000 online participants attended the conference. The forum significantly provided knowledge and education for medical practioners and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation professionals in the field of cardiopulmonary diseases in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, northwest region and even China. The conference aimed to take the lead in integrating prevention and rehabilitation, combining prevention and rehabilitation of cardiopulmonary diseases, and uniting circulatory rehabilitation with respiratory rehabilitation.
During the conference, Professor Hu Dayi proposed three work directions, requiring cardiac rehabilitation professionals from different regions to implement the integration of prevention and rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and psychological rehabilitation. He also delivered four assumptions regarding the future work of cardiac rehabilitation system in China: Center for Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiac Surgery, Center for Prevention of Heart and Lung Diseases, Psycho-cardiology Medical Center and Multidisciplinary Team Consultation Center for Heart and Lung Diseases. These novel concepts received enthusiastic response and reflection from experts all over the country, pinpointing the direction for future work.
