Recently, the project entitled "Magnet-navigated Tracheal Intubation Robot" developed by Surgical Dreamworks achieved excellent results in two national innovation competitions.
On October 11, the finals of "Medical Equipment Transformation Seminar of China Medical Equipment Conference in conjunction with the 5th National Clinical Innovation and Invention Competition" hosted by China Association of Medical Equipment and Medical Vision Network were held in Beijing. Relevant heads and leaders from hospitals, research institutes, industry, investment cycle and industrial parks from all provinces and cities in China were invited to participate in the competition. The project entitled "Magnet-navigated Tracheal Intubation Robot" was highly recognized by experts and judges, finally grabbing the first prize in this national competition.
From October 16 to 18, “the 8th Young- and Middle-aged Academic Conference of Society of Medical Engineering of Chinese Medical Association in conjunction with the 2nd CCI Cup Tuoren Medical Device Science and Technology Innovation Competition” with the theme of “fight against COVID-19” were held in Hangzhou, aiming to fully demonstrate the key role of medical engineers in fighting against COVID-19 and continually improve their enthusiasm for scientific and technological innovation. After preliminary selection throughout China, the project entitled "Magnet-navigated Tracheal Intubation System", which previously received the first prize in the Shaanxi provincial competition, eventually obtained the second prize in this national competition.

Magnet-navigated endotracheal intubation technology and equipped systems are another highly cross-integrated innovative project in the field of magnetic surgery and engineering materials, which is expected to provide potential solutions to key problems, such as the shortage of anesthesiologists and high-risk cross-infection during the treatment of infectious diseases,etc. It has application value and high practicability in clinical practice.
