On October 24, 2020, the mid-term promotion meeting of the key project of National Major Chronic Non-infectious Disease Prevention and Control Research entitled “Establishment of Cognitive Screening and Evaluation System for Chinese Population” supported by National Key Research and Development Project of Ministry of Science and Technology, and led by Professor Yu Xin from Peking University Sixth Hospital and Chen Yunchun, Director of Department of Psychiatry of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), was successfully held in Xi 'an.
Professor Yu Xin, Honorary Chairman of Chinese Society of Psychiatry of Chinese Medical Association, Professor Wang Huali, Deputy Director of Clinical Research Office of Peking University Institute of Mental Health, Professor Li Tao from Peking University Sixth Hospital, Chen Yunchun, Director of Department of Psychiatry and Professor Wang Jin from Department of Neurology of our hospital attended the mid-term promotion meeting. More than 10 staff members from our hospital, Xijing Hospital, Xi 'an Mental Health Center and the First Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi Medical University also attended the meeting.
In the morning, Professor Yu Xin, Professor Wang Huali and Professor Li Tao delivered an inspection to Department of Psychiatry of our hospital, Xijing Hospital and Xi 'an Mental Health Center, and conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the current project progress and limitations, existing problems and subsequent work arrangements and plans. Director Chen Yunchun, the leader in charge of the sub-center work, reported the research missions and arrangements, current research progress, reasons for slow progress and upcoming plans, and consulted with the supervising experts to figure out solutions for the problems and difficulties encountered in the current work. Director Chen Yunchun would continually send designate staff to supervise and follow up the project, steadily advance the project progress, and strive to successfully complete the work before the deadline.
In the afternoon, all experts were invited to give academic presentations and exchanges. Professor Wang Huali delivered a presentation entitled "Research Progress on Biomarkers of Cognitive Impairment". Professor Wang Jin gave a report entitled "Experience Sharing of Research Work in Cognitive Impairment". In addition, Dr. Wang Zhijiang, Dr. Fan Zili and Dr. Tu Lihui gave academic reports entitled "Standardization and Integration of Multi-center Imaging Data", "Difficulties in Cognitive Assessment" and "Highlights in Cognitive Assessment", respectively.
The launching of this project promotion meeting signifies that the project work has entered into a crucial stage. As the leading affiliation of the sub-center, our hospital will also strengthen cooperation and exchanges with other affiliations, and take this opportunity to elevate the quality of discipline construction and advance the development of medical technologies through scientific research and innovation.
