On October 17, 2025, the 11th Western China Vascular Conference and the 2025 Conference on the Integration of Vascular and Interventional Medicine were held in Xi’an. From the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), vascular surgery graduate student Jiang Yulin and attending physician Huang Xun stood out among contestants from across the country, winning the Grand Prize and Second Prize, respectively, in the Young Physicians’ English Case Competition.

The conference was hosted by the Shaanxi Gerontology and Geriatrics Society and attracted experts and scholars from mutiple provinces and cities nationwide. As a key segment of the event, the Young Physicians’ English Case Competition aims to cultivate young vascular surgeons with a global perspective. With fluent English presentations, solid clinical foundations, and innovative therapeutic thinking, Dr. Jiang Yulin and Dr. Huang Xun received unanimous praise from the judges, fully demonstrating the professional caliber of young physicians at the FAH of XJTU.

The conference highlighted the deep integration of vascular surgery and interventional medicine, adopting “Vitality (disciplinary vitality), Innovation (technological innovation), Multidisciplinary (cross-disciplinary collaboration), Integration (integrated development), and Transformation (translational medicine)” as its core principles. Through academic exchanges and cooperation, it aims to stimulate disciplinary vitality, drive technological innovation, and promote multidisciplinary integration, thereby injecting new momentum into the development of vascular and interventional medicine. This award not only underscores the clinical and research strength of the FAH of XJTU in vascular surgery, but also reflects the hospital’s outstanding achievements in cultivating the international competencies of young physicians.
