In October 2025, Sabah, Malaysia hosted a major international event in vascular medicine. Professor Lu Shaoying from the Department of Vascular Surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) was invited to attend the 3rd Borneo Vascular Conference, joining leading scholars from around the world to discuss emerging trends in vascular surgery.
As an important representative of vascular surgery in Western China, experts from the FAH showcased outstanding academic strength during the conference. Professor Lu Shaoying delivered a featured presentation in the main venue, prompting lively discussion among the attending experts.
During the conference, experts from the FAH actively engaged in international academic dialogue and reached multiple cooperation intents with several leading medical centers in Southeast Asia. It is reported that FAH will carry out in-depth cooperation with medical institutions in countries such as Malaysia and Singapore in talent development and technological innovation, jointly advancing the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases across the Asia-Pacific region.
