121 Grants Awarded! FAH Achieves Historic Breakthrough in NSFC Funding

On August 27, 2025, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced the results of its annual funding program. The First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) reached a historic milestone, securing 121 funded projects, representing a 27.36% increase compared with the previous year. Both the number of projects and the growth rate mark the best achievement in the hospital’s history.

The approved projects include 2 Youth Science Fund (Category B) grants, 1 Key International (Regional) Cooperative Research Project, 52 General Program grants, and 66 Youth Science Fund (Category C) grants. Significant progress was made across multiple disciplines, particularly in digestive system diseases, hematological diseases, psychiatry and neurology, and tumor radiotherapy.
