On August 26, 2025, the PET-CT Department successfully hosted an international academic exchange, specially inviting Professor Chen Xiaoyuan from the National University of Singapore for an academic visit. Professor Chen is a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Sciences, the Academia Europaea, and the European Academy of Sciences, and also serves as editor-in-chief or editorial board member for several leading international journals.

During his visit, Professor Chen toured the PET/CT Department and the Department of Nuclear Medicine. He offered constructive insights and recommendations on areas such as novel molecular probe R&D, clinical translation, and the integration of radionuclide diagnosis and therapy.
The academic exchange was chaired by Duan Xiaoyi, Director of the PET/CT Department. Ma Xin, Assistant to the President, delivered remarks, introducing the hospital’s development history and the construction of the National Medical Center. She particularly emphasized the pivotal role of nuclear medicine in driving the hospital’s growth and disciplinary advancement, and expressed the hope that this visit would foster a long-term collaboration with Professor Chen and his team, accelerating scientific and technological innovation and the translation of achievements in nuclear medicine.
Professor Chen delivered a keynote lecture on “Radionuclide Therapy and Nanomedicine”, underscoring that novel radionuclide-labeled nanomolecular probes and the integration of nuclear medicine diagnostics and therapeutics have emerged as critical directions and research hotspots in precision medicine. Although numerous challenges remain in clinical translation, he stressed that the prospects remain highly promising. Professor Chen also expressed his intention to maintain close communication with the FAH, seek opportunities for collaboration, and strive to initiate substantive cooperation in the near future. The event also drew active participation of young and middle-aged key personnel from institutions such as Xijing Hospital, Tangdu Hospital, Shaanxi Cancer Hospital, and Xi’an International Medical Center, fostering a vibrant atmosphere for academic exchange.
