On the afternoon of May 21, 2025, Herberth Ulises Cuba Garcia, Vice Minister of Peruvian Ministry of Health, Eduardo Yong Motta, President of Peru-China Cultural Institute, Leo Liu, Secretary-General of Peru-China Cultural Institute, and Li Jia, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Office of Shaanxi province (Shaanxi Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries) were invited to visit Land Port Division of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), accompanied by Ma Xinge, Party Secretary of FAH.
In the emergency center, the delegate witnessed rapid response mechanism and professional treatment capability of the emergency center in treating various emergency diseases, and highly recognized FAH’s capability in emergency medical rescue.
At the hospital history gallery and naked-eye 3D exhibition area, they were immersed in remarkable achievements and hardship development course of FAH in past 69 years from all directions and perspectives with audio-visual effects, and experienced vigorous and dynamic development of the hospital.
In the exhibition hall of National Medical Center, FAH staff focused on 6 achievements in medical engineering: the first set of superconducting heavy ion accelerator model worldwide, Chinese standard system for organ transplantation, blue laser surgical equipment and the world's first magnetic surgery, etc., which directly showcases FAH's breakthrough in resolving "bottleneck" medical problems and promoting groundbreaking outcomes in the frontier medical research, letting the delegates realize the important role of enhancing national medical level.
International Medical Clinic builds the international service benchmark with "wisdom + humanity": the smart ward is equipped with advanced medical equipment and 24-h health service, achieves intelligent patient management through smart nursing system and smart wristband. Pneumatic logistics and box logistics system guarantee the transmission efficiency of clinical specimens and the safety of medications.
The delegate also visited the world's leading intelligent operating room. In the integrated endoscopic operating room, 4K fluorescent endoscope and visualization platform realize remote consultation and teaching, and domestic surgical robots can assist the completion of complex operations. Innovative achievements independently invented by FAH, such as blue laser equipment and magnetic traction field exposure system were also displayed at the scene.
The visiting delegate spoke highly of FAH’s construction achievements and looked forward to deepening mutual cooperation of talents and technologies. Party Secretary Ma Xinge highlighted that FAH will rely on National Medical Center to promote the medical engineering integration , accelerate the transformation of scientific research, and emphasize medical technology sharing and talent training, contributing to the "Chinese Program" and "XJTU’s experience".
