From May 9 to 11, 2025, the First Academic Conference on Smart Health and Intelligent Medical Innovation and Development, jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Beihang University, and Beijing Institute of Technology, was held in Hebei Province. The event brought together over 500 industry elites from top-tier hospitals, research institutes, and medical technology enterprises across China. A total of 56 themed academic sessions were held, along with paper competitions for young scholars and postgraduate students.

Ma Feng, Deputy Director of the National-Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Precision Surgery and Regenerative Medicine, led Zhang Nana, Qian Yerong, Chang Chuxin, and Zou Xueting to attend the conference and engage in academic exchanges. Associate Research Fellows Yan Xiaopeng and Ren Fenggang participated in the discussions online. Focusing on bioelectromagnetics and life health, the team presented three conference reports and four academic papers. At the Bioelectromagnetics and Life Health Sub-Forum, Ma Feng delivered a presentation titled “Advances in Biomedical Research on Magnetic Force and Magnetic Fields”, introducing the concept and future prospects of magnetic surgery technology. Yan Xiaopeng shared an online presentation entitled “The Chinese Practice of Magnetic Surgery Techniques in Treating Gastrointestinal Stenosis”, highlighting the innovative application of magnetic surgical techniques in managing complex gastrointestinal stenosis. Ren Fenggang delivered an online report titled “Development and Clinical Transformation of Key Technologies for Natural Orifice-Based Pulsed Field Ablation”, showcasing how independently developed flexible ablation electrodes and a multimodal imaging system enable precise and minimally invasive treatment of early-stage gastrointestinal cancers and mucosal lesions.

Zhang Nana was awarded First Prize in the Young Scholars Paper Competition for her presentation titled “Characteristics and Molecular Mechanisms of Anti-Tumor Immune Response Induced by High-Voltage Pulsed Electric Fields in Pancreatic Cancer”. Qian Yerong, Zou Xueting, and Chang Chuxin received Third Prize and Merit Awards, respectively, in the Postgraduate Paper Competition, showcasing research achievements in organ perfusion solution development, the effects of magnetic fields on silkworms, and patent analysis of medical drainage tubes.
