Magnetic Medicine (English Edition) is co-sponsored by the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and Xi'an Jiaotong University. The articles of Volume 1, Issue 1 are now fully available online. The inaugural issue includes six articles, including one Editorial, four Reviews, and one Research Article. The research covers topics such as iron-based magnetic nanomaterials metabolism and immune regulation, with authors of research teams from China, the U.S., and South Korea.
The journal's editor-in-chief is Professor Lyu Yi, Director of the Health Science Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University and President of the FAH. The honorary editors-in-chief are Academician Fang Jiancheng from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor Michel Gagner from Canada, a renowned expert in minimally invasive surgery from Canada. The executive editor-in-chief is Professor Wu Rongqian from the FAH. Under the leadership of Professor Lyu Yi, the magnetic surgery team has been dedicated to clinical needs for over a decade, achieving 22 world-first innovations and 15 domestic pioneering technical R&D applications, spanning more than 10 surgical subspecialties. The Magnetic Surgery R&D and Treatment Center they established is the most comprehensive technical system globally and the largest professional institution in terms of clinical case scale. Additionally, the center has also developed a discipline system of magnetic surgery, driving innovations in surgical technology models and providing a paradigm for medical-engineering interdisciplinary innovation.
Magnetic Medicine (English Edition) is the world's first English-language journal dedicated to the clinical translation of magnetic technologies and their applications in life and healthcare. It is an open-access, quarterly journal. The journal focuses on the interdisciplinary research in magnetics and medicine, publishing groundbreaking research in areas such as magnetic surgery and medical magnetic devices. In 2023, the journal was selected for the high-starting new journal project titled "Excellence Action Plan for China STM Journals". In 2024, it became an academic supporting unit of the International Magnetic Surgery Conference, hosting its inaugural editorial board meeting in December of the same year.
In the future, under the leadership of the editor-in-chief and the editorial board, the journal will continue to publish high-level papers and build an international platform for academic exchanges. Currently, the journal offers free publication with no page charges, as well as free English editing, image design, and visual enhancement services. We warmly invite global researchers to join hands in advancing the transformation of magnetic technology innovations for clinical medicine, contributing to medical progress.
