On April 26, Kenya-China Business Forum, hosted by by Ministry of Industry and Trade of Kenya and Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in China and organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China-Africa Development Fund and Kenya Investment Authority, was held in Beijing. Kenya President Kenyatta, Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade of Kenya, Minister of Ministry of Infrastructure of Kenya, Ambassador of Kenyain China and other representatives attended the forum. Shi Bingyin, President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University was invited to attend the forum.

During the round-table talks on health and traditional medicine, President Shi Bingyin introduced the history and current development status of our hospital to the delegates, emphasizing the advantages and characteristics of our hospital. He highlighted that after several decades of persistent efforts, our hospital has achieved the national leading levelsregarding the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, endocrine diseases, tumor therapy and organ transplantation,etc. Meantime, the telemedicine project- "Smart Hospital" in our hospital is also the only online medical system with complete system, intensive interaction, high efficiency and practicability in China. The delegates from Kenya were highly interested in the telemedicine services provided by our hospital.

On April 30, Dr. Moses M. Ikiara, General Manager of Kenya Investment Authority and three colleagues paid a visit to our hospital. First of all, President Shi Bingyin of our hospital held a meeting with Dr Moses M. Ikiara and his delegates. Subsequently, the guests were invited to visit Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and “Smart Hospital” and watched the demonstration of Da Vinci robot-assisted surgery. After the visit, Dr Moses M. Ikiara hoped to deliver extensivecooperation and exchange with our hospital.
