On August 30, 2024, Discipline (Specialty) Construction Office organized a lecture entitled "Experts Talk about Discipline Construction", and invited Professor Qu Kun from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of National University of Singapore to share cutting-edge research in structural biology. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Li Lei.

Professor Qu Kun delivered a lecture entitled "Application of Structural Biology in Infectious Diseases". During the Q&A session, Gao Yang, Deputy Director of Department of Urology, Professor Yu Xinzhe from Department of Urology, Professor Liu Zhijun from Department of Infectious Diseases and other researchers from FAH conducted in-depth exchange with Professor Qu Kun and his team, exchanged scientific research suggestions with each other, and proposed the possibility of subsequent cooperation in related fields.

Vice President Li Lei hoped to take this exchange activity as an opportunity to lay a solid foundation for cooperation and build a bridge for cooperation. Subsequently, bilateral sides can continually deepen mutual collaboration and lead high-quality discipline development with high-level scientific research. At present, FAH is committed to establishing a National Medical Center with unprecedented determination and speed. Deepening the integration of basic research and clinical application and strengthening scientific research capability and comprehensive strength of various disciplines play a pivotal role in completing this mission. FAH will continually hold the serial activities of "Experts Talk about Discipline Construction", strengthen exchanges and cooperation with first-class institutions, disciplines and teams at home and abroad and accelerate rapid improvement of discipline capability of FAH.
