The founding conference of Medical Science and Technology Innovation and Development Branch of National Association of Health Industry and Enterprise Management was held in the capital city of Beijing on March 20, 2019. President Dou Xizhao, Secretary General Wu Yupu, and Deputy Secretary General Jia Jianping of National Association of Health Industry and Enterprise Management, Chen Runsheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Lyu Yi from Xi 'an Jiaotong University along with relevant industry experts, physicians and entrepreneurs from all over the country attended the founding conference.

Established in October, 1992, National Association of Health Industry and Enterprise Management is a national professional social organization with the function of industry management, headed by the National Health Commission, and registered and managed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Its goal is to "develop health industry and enterprises and serve the social economy and the health of people". Medical Science and Technology Innovation and Development Branch of National Association of Health Industry and Enterprise Management was officially approved on October 31, 2018, aiming to accelerate the development of medical science and technology innovation in China, establish a platform for exchange and cooperation among relevant government departments, hospitals, enterprises and institutions, strengthen collaborative innovation among hospitals, research institutions and enterprises and realize the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

During the founding conference, the first leading body of Medical Science and Technology Innovation and Development Branch was elected. Chen Runsheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was elected as the Honorary President, and Professor Lyu Yi from Xi'an Jiaotong University was elected as the President of Medical Science and Technology Innovation and Development Branch. Meantime, the Executive Deputy President, Deputy President and Secretary General were also elected. Academician Chen Runsheng and Professor Lyu Yi delivered respective inauguration speeches.

Beijing (Xiangshan) Medical Science and Technology Forum 2019 was also held in conjunction with the founding conference. During the forum, Professor Tang Bo on behalf of the team made a special report on "Analysis and comprehensive breakthrough of magnetic surgery-related patent technology", which was highly recognized and unanimously praised by the experts attending the conference.
