Professor Song Sixian delivered a lecture entitled "Clinical evidence-based medicine, patient selection and treatment strategy of MitraClip", sharing his own experience of MitraClip procedure. As the most experienced expert in MitraClip procedure in the whole Asia-Pacific region, Professor Song Sixian has been making tremendous contributions to the teaching and development of TEER in the mainland since MitraClip was first introduced.

Professor Wang Shun gave a lecture entitled "Analysis of ultrasound images before and during MitraClip procedure", enabling the trainees to deepen the understanding of ultrasound images, acquisition of surgical sections and accurate quantitative and qualitative analysis of mitral regurgitation.

Professor Chen Tao gave a special lecture entitled "Analysis of the standard process of MitraClip therapy and key points of simulator operation" and shared 6 cases of MitraClip procedures.

Professor Zeng Jie contributed a lecture entitled "Perioperative management of MitraClip therapy and the treatment of intraoperative complications". He offered in-depth and systematic explanation for all potential complications of TEER therapy.

Finally, Professor Ma Yunlong showcased multiple challenging cases of MitraClip procedure performed by Professor Han Ke's team. Professor He Mingjun illustrated the standard operation of MitraClip procedure through a classic case of clamp loss during operation.

Professor Han Ke's team showcased a challenging case of MitraClip procedure for the trainees. The patient was diagnosed with mixed mitral regurgitation, and preoperative regurgitation was extremely severe (5+). Degenerative mitral regurgitation caused by chordae tendineae rupture was observed in the mitral valve area 1 and the outer boundary, and functional mitral regurgitation induced by the left ventricular enlargement was found in the mitral valve areas 2 and 3. The surgery was successfully completed. Mitral regurgitation was mitigated to mild degree, and clinical symptoms related to pulmonary vein regurgitation were immediately alleviated.
