The First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) successfully completed on-site verification of the expert group for demonstration base re-certification of Atrial Fibrillation Center Union of China. This is the re-inspection after the FAH became the "Demonstration Base of China Atrial Fibrillation Center" in 2018, signifying that the hospital's standardized diagnosis and treatment levels of atrial fibrillation are in the leading position in China.
Five years ago, the hospital successfully passed the certification of the first-batch standard affiliations of Atrial Fibrillation Centers in China, and was rated as one of the first-batch demonstration bases in China with high scores (ranking 8th). Five years later, the hospital received unanimous approval from the inspection team experts again and passed the re-certification review.
Led by Professor Liu Bing from Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital, the expert group consisted of Professor Wang Xuezhong from General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University and Professor Wang Hongtao from the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU. Professor Yuan Zuyi, President of Cardiovascular Disease Hospital, Professor Sun Chaofeng, Medical Director of Atrial Fibrillation Center, Administrative Director Professor Xue Xiaolin, Professor Tian Gang, Member of the Expert Committee, Professor Liang Xiao, Secretary of the Expert Committee, Head Nurse Gao Chunyan, also data administrator, Head Nurse Liu Yingying, Physician Liu Yang, the representative of backbone surgeons and representatives of relevant departments and cooperative hospitals were invited to attend the meeting.
On behalf of the hospital and department, Professor Yuan Zuyi delivered a speech. Professor Xue Xiaolin gave a summary report on the work of Atrial Fibrillation Center in the hospital during the past 5 years after the establishment. The expert group asked questions and discussed the details with the representatives from Department of Cardiology, relevant departments and cooperative hospitals. After on-site review, the expert group inspected medical records and data reports of atrial fibrillation patients in our hospital, and visited Emergency Department, outpatient and ward of Department of Cardiology, CCU and interventional operating room, delivered on-site inspection of the signs and staff arrangement, etc.
At the conclusion stage, the expert group highly recognized the construction of Atrial Fibrillation Center in our hospital, especially standardized diagnosis, treatment and consultation process, which are worthy of promotion. Besides, the expert team also put forward effective suggestions regarding the follow-up of patients in our hospital.
