From October 22 to 25, 2023, the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Clinical Congress (ACSCC), an international high-level congress, was held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. At the invitation of the organizing committee of ACSCC, Associate Researcher Yan Xiaopeng, doctoral student Zhang Miaomiao, postgraduate student Li Yixing and postgraduate student Xu Shuqin from the magnetic surgery team of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) attended and delivered presentations at ACSCC.

During the 4-day congress, magnetic surgery team members delivered 13 presentations (including 6 oral presentations and 7 e-posters) on the latest original and innovative research results of magnetic surgery, which was the team with the largest number of participants and presentations in the related fields of magnetic surgery at home and abroad. Their groundbreaking research results were highly recognized by international peers.

Led by Professor Lyu Yi, the magnetic surgery team in the FAH forged ahead and constantly consolidated basic research of magnetic surgery and expanded its clinical application. Since 2018, the magnetic surgery team has held International Conference of Magnetic Surgery for 6 consecutive times and invited international colleagues to the FAH for academic exchanges. In addition, the team also sent staff to participate in ACSCC for 6 consecutive years, and more than 40 members delivered presentations, which is the team contributing the largest number of presentations regarding the research results on magnetic surgery at ACSCC. Under the guidance of the ideology of "Bringing in and going out", the magnetic surgery team has persistently strengthened academic exchanges on magnetic surgery and significantly enhanced international influence of magnetic surgery in the FAH.
