On the morning of August 15, 2018, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University welcomed the arrival of seven experts on molecular imaging from UCLA, Johns Hopkins University, Yale University, Mallinckrodt radioactivity institute of University of Washington and National Institutes of Health. They came to give lectures in the hospital at the invitation of Yang Aimin, Director of Nuclear Medicine Department. This exchange activity was held by Director Yang Aimin and associate professor Gao Rui.
During the exchange activity, these seven experts presented excellent reports on the front direction of molecular imaging and their academic achievements, covering various topics, such as the development history and prospect of molecular imaging, the application of VP-PET in high resolution imaging, latest developments based on quantitative PET multimoding and multiparameter precise imaging, cranial neurotransmitter imaging based on PET, functions of P-glycoprotein in blood brain barrier in PET imaging, application of PET-MRI joint detection serotonin system in mental diseases and application of quantitative imaging in treatment of triple negative breast cancer.
Heated discussions were made on molecular imaging and its clinical application after the conference. These experts hoped to make broader cooperation with the hospital in molecular imaging diagnosis.
